York treasure hunt
Explore the historic city of York with out treasure hunt around one of England's former second cities.
York was founded by the Romans in 71 AD and was one of England's largest cities during the Middle Ages. Our York treasure hunt follows a circular route, starting at Clifford's Tower - once the central stronghold of York Castle. On through Spurriergate and Lendal, then bearing right towards the magnificent York Minster. Wend your way then to the medieval Shambles, and along to High Ousegate, before finishing down Nessgate to get back to your starting place.
