Rochester treasure hunt
Explore this historic city on the Medway, former home of Charles Dickens.
Rochester has been the site of a bridge across the Medway since Roman times. Its Cathedral has the second longest history of any in England, and it has a well-preserved Norman castle. Charles Dickens lived and worked near here for many years, and along the High Street you can see several buildings that featured in his novels. Our compact treasure hunt round this fascinating historic city takes in all this and more. And all less than an hour from central London.
