Stratford-upon-Avon treasure hunt
Forever associated with the Bard, Stratford has preserved over 800 years of history in its unique town centre.
Our Stratford-Upon-Avon treasure hunt starts near the centre of the town in Rother Street, site of a weekly Friday market. The route heads past the American or Shakespeare Memorial Fountain, and cuts through to pedestrianised Henley Street, home of Shakespeare’s Birthplace and The Shakespeare Centre. Heading away from the centre, we then cross the Avon and enter Bancroft Gardens beside the Gower Memorial, which is a large statue depicting, guess who, Shakespeare. The second half of the hunt then explores the Gardens, ending at the Royal Shakespeare Theatre.
