Whitstable treasure hunt
Check out the charming streets and smugglers' alleys of this lovely Kent seaside town with our Whitstable treasure hunt.
Whitstable has a genuine artistic atmosphere, and is also a mecca for foodies intent on visiting the world-famous (and very pretty) Wheeler's Oyster Bar. Our Whitstable treasure hunt starts at the Harbour, a must-stop for the fish markets and sea views. Turning off the main streets, we check out Whitstable's notorious tiny alley ways, originally the escape routes for smugglers and their contraband to disappear unnoticed. Finally the beach path offers up a multitude of clues as we follow it along the front and back to the harbour.
