Our West End Treasure Hunt is a game of two halves – combining the elegant St James's district with lively Piccadilly and Theatreland.

London's West End is full of variety.  The route of our treasure hunt starts in Trafalgar Square, and then takes you through the St James's district notable for its high-end gentlemen's outfitters, bootmakers, barbers, hatters, gunsmiths and vintners.  The second half of the treasure hunt takes in Piccadilly and Shaftesbury Avenue with its numerous theatres.  The route then passes through Gerrard and Wardour Streets in vibrant Chinatown, before reaching Leicester Square - the iconic centre of the West End.  Leaving Leicester Square, the treasure hunt ends up back at its starting-point in Trafalgar Square.

Hunt starts and ends in: Trafalgar Square
Length of hunt: allow 2-3 hrs at a medium stroll (excluding refreshment / pub stops)

The St. James's area was developed by aristocrats close to Charles II, and made fashionable by men such as Beau Brummell and Sir Isaac Newton.

Old school clubland and traditional restaurants such as Wiltons have been here since the mid-18th century, and there are retail havens for cigar aficionados.
