Length of hunt: c. 2-3 hrs at a medium pace (excluding optional refreshment / pub stops)

Our treasure hunt starts and finishes in Piccadilly Gardens, known as 'the gateway to Manchester', then heads via Market Street towards the Triangle area.  This used to be a corn exchange, but is now full of exclusive shops and worth a walk around.  Go on towards the Cathedral and Deansgate, then over to St Ann's Square and Church.  More clues will lead you through to Albert Square, the Town Hall, and St Peter's Square, before a spell in Nicholas Street – the third largest Chinatown in Europe.  Turn left at the visitor centre, and you are back where you started out at the Gardens.

  • The peace & quiet of the Cathedral
  • Looking in the designer shops on New Cathedral Street
