Start & finish point:	Starts at the medieval Guildhall in Thaxted, via Hempstead and Great Sampford, to finish in the famous picture-book village of Finchingfield
Description:	Our starting point, Thaxted, is one of Essex’s finest towns, and has a recorded history dating back to before the Domesday Book, with a very special character all of its own. After exploring its medieval centre and church, we head down the country lanes to Hempstead, the home of Dick Turpin, (and also one of the county’s best real-ale pubs, The Bluebell). A quick stop at the village of Great Sampford, then continue down the lane to the outstandingly beautiful village of Finchingfield, known as ‘the most photographed village in Essex’ – you will see why!
